How do I improve my cardiovascular health?
• 30 minutes of moderate-intensity physical activity 5 days a week
• 2-3 sessions of weight training per week
• 1 day of rest between strength training work-outs
Walking vs. Jogging
Walking a 15-minute mile (or 4 mph) burns almost as many calories as jogging the same distance.
The benefit of jogging is that it takes less time and is good for the bones; however it may be too strenuous for some.
What if I have a chronic condition or disease?
Strength training will help reduce the signs and symptoms of the following:
• Back Pain
• Heart Disease
• Cancer Patients
